The Best of U-Turn Sarkar #49days special - You Can't Miss This Article

As the magic 49 number of days of Modi Sarkar comes to a close, It has been a good journey. Isn't it ? Looking back at some of the hilarious points of what is fast coming to be known as the U-Turn Sarkar.

Should India be entertaining Pakistani VIPs if there is conflict at the border?

That is how Modi Sarkar began. Before, Modi had only contempt for Manmohan Singh’s sarkar that apparently did not retaliate strongly enough to Indian soldiers being killed at the border. That too, in Telugu, it seems.

Modi blasts Manmohan Singh for taking killings at the LoC lightly
Modi blasts Manmohan Singh for taking killings at the LoC lightly
Modi himself had refused the evil Pakistanis in a massive demonstration of patriotic solidarity. Little did Dr. Manmohan Singh know that when people say his silence was a problem, they mean it. He could have tried something as simple as inviting Pakistan’s Prime Minister for an important national function. Like so:
Modi on LoC conflicts and relations with Pakistan before and after

Or perhaps I may be wrong, and this may not be a patriotic move so much as the first installment on the election campaign expenses. Even as the poor beheaded jawan’s wife was protesting. Sometimes greater good has to be seen.
Modi's sponsor Adani wants to sell power to Pakistan

But at least Modi was right about the other borders I think. Illegal Bangladeshis are such a nuisance. Modi was right to threaten to deport them
Bangladeshis were to be deported before elections
Bangladeshis were to be deported before elections
but there is a problem. After all, he’d just invited their Prime Minister for his coronation. So he at least tried to get rid of the “illegal” from it, if not deporting.
Visa-free entry to Bangladeshis under 18 years and over 65 years
Visa-free entry to Bangladeshis under 18 years and over 65 years
The solution was so simple, one must really wonder why Dr. Mannu (Manmohan Singh) never thought of it. Simply allow them visa free entry – voila! Now they can stay where they are legally!!!

This Modi sarkar is pure genius, I tell you.

What about that evil Gandhi bloodline (excluding the pure blood of Varun Gandhi, BJP). Dr. Subramanian Swamy had Priyanka Gandhi red handed. Multiple DINs! That evil witch and that Karti Chidambaram!!!
Appropriately terrified, Priyanka Gandhi confessed to making multiple applications and offered to pay the fine (and nicely ignored the jail time, thank you very much).
But wait. That was before. Now that Modi sarkar is in place, the greater efficiency showed that Priyanka Vadra may have applied as many times as she liked, but the super efficient (retrospectively as well) Ministry of Corporate affairs had actually issued her only one DIN. What a DIN about DINs. Just like Nitin Gadkari (No, you can’t check now, the extra DINs nicely show “not yet issued” now that a better government is in place.)
Modi sarkar had Vadra terrified while UPA2 was in rule.
Vadra security privileges - before
Vadra security privileges – before
Then, as they campaigned, they probably thought a panicked Vadra would fight too hard to defeat them, so they kinda…. reassured.
Action against Vadra or no? Election Campaign
Action against Vadra or no? Election Campaign
And never let it be said BJP goes back on its word. Robert Vadra remains unscathed.
What about Robert Vadra's security exemptions?
What about Robert Vadra’s security exemptions?
They had even terrified the couple together. Imagine losing security privileges and having to go through security checks at airports? I bet the couple lost sleepless nights.

Modi Sarkar has brought acche din to the country.

Jaitlet had thought that the Income Tax exemption slab should be raised to 5 lakh before the elections. Now that he got to present the budget, he raised it to 2.5 lakh.

What should the IT exemption slab be? Beore and after
What should the IT exemption slab be? Beore and after

Hey! No need to get outraged! If you ignore the decimal point, 25 is five times 5.

What about investments in railways?

Everything perfect on that front. Just watch.
What about the railways? Before and after
What about the railways? Before and after
We have no hesitation in telling you that UPA2 would have totally messed up the privatization of railways and FDI, but now that it is a BJP sarkar and BJP no longer plays dog in the manger with the government, many things that UPA2 wanted to do are now possible without BJP staging a walkout against itself.

Still not convinced? You are a cynical sickular. Try this.

Modi railway hike before and after
Modi railway hike before and after

Oh wait. I meant this.

uday-lalit-amit-shah-after
Amazing, isn’t it, the things you can do when you can get a dozen newspapers to publish near identical articles without sources that can push things that happened before the election aside? Like this one?
Did Uday Lalit represent Amit Shah? Before
Did Uday Lalit represent Amit Shah? Before

There are many, many such gems. And you cannot blame BJP. After all, they have delivered the only real promise they made before the election – Modi as PM. To avoid confusion, they even avoided publishing a manifesto as far as possible.

So you really cannot claim that they cannot do U-Turns.

Welcome to the opening innings of U-Turn sarkar. May the remaining period be as hilarious as so far… and may worries about the country never plague your dazzled brain.

Sunanda Pushkar Found dead in Delhi Hotel - Twitter Controversy

Latest Development on the Death Controversy

New Delhi, Jan 17: Sunanda Pushkar, who was upset over an alleged extra-marital affair between her minister husband Shashi Tharoor and a Pakistani journalist, was found dead in a five-star Hotel Leela room no 345.
The incident came to fore around 8pm after the hotel authorities informed the police.

Pushkar had checked into the five star hotel on Thursday, police said. Sources said she was last seen at 3.30pm on Friday in the hotel lobby.

The housekeeping staff apparently knocked on Sunanda’s door at 7pm but got no response. The hotel staff allegedly opened the room with another swipe card and found her dead on her bed, sources in south Delhi police told TOI.

On Twitter along with his wife Sunanda Pushkar have been trending on Twitter a day after he tweeted that his account has been hacked (allegedly by a Pakistani national).

Shashi Tharoor is Minister of State for Human Resource Development in the Manmohan Singh government.

In the latest row, Tharoor’s wife Sunanda Pushkar has alleged that a Pakistani journalist is after her husband.

    Mehr Trar Tweet:

Remarkably, Shashi and Mehr have been interacting on Twitter for quite sometime now.

    Sashi Tharor tweets:

Pushkar informed a TV channel that there is no problem between her and Tharoor.

“Mehr Tarar is stalking my husband. Mehr Tarar is an ISI agent. I will ask RAW to look into this. I feel personally targeted by Pakistani journalist,”

Here’s what Mehr said to NDTV,

Joint Statement by Sunanda and Shashi Tharoor:

Meanwhile Tarar denied all allegations against her and tweeted..

Tweeple found humour and political satire in this online turmoil too. While some termed it Bollywood romance triangle, some started suggesting that India should alter its foreign policy towards the hackers’ countries, namely Pakistan and China.

Meanwhile the bitter tweets cannot be found on Tharoor and Pushkar’s accounts anymore. Pushkar had earlier said that Tarar is ‘stalking’ her husband.

My Blog on Aam Aadmi Party : A Political Revolution

Why December 4, 2013 can be a golden letter day in History of India

    Dear Friends,

We all have been living in this country and have taken things for granted , like our citizenship, our rights, our duties, facilities we get from our government, life we get as a citizen of India. We may appreciate other countries , their lives and blame our system for all the problems we face. It is a good way to give a vent to our frustration.

We blame our country for all this, but who makes this country.. It is we as citizens. We choose our leaders and entrust them with the responsibility of developing this society/ country. The leaders come from different political parties. They shape the future of societies with different laws and policies. We have seen in these last 66 years that we are not developing as fast as we could have. I am not saying good work would not have been done or the problems have not been solved… But..66 Years is not a short span of time… Our pace has been slow because of the vested interest we have in
    our political class.

Let us take a simple example for better understanding I hire a cook for my home and entrust him the responsibility of handling kitchen. The cook in this process has absolute control in all kitchen matters. He buys vegetables from his own relative,
purchases grocery from shop where he gets commission, takes all dry fruits, milk , cream, curd and ghee at his own home. He still claims he is doing his best to serve us the finest food. But we are still not liking it. We actually have a problem with us rather than it being with him. Fed up of all this I decide to start cooking myself. Now he starts complaining and shouting.

This is actually the situation with present political class. When we as people demanded things we wanted for ourselves. They said you come in as elected representative and become eligible to draw legislation. When we decided to actually do it, they are shouting we do not have experience.

But there are few things we owe to our next generation.. our Kids. They should be proud of being an Indian Citizen. And we have a right to shape up our future.

For this we need to come out of this complacency, attitude of ‘CHALTA HAI !!’. We may be don't have a time/ resources to CONTRIBUTE in this nation building, but yes we still we can let this ‘change for good’ happen to our country.

A new Party is in election fray this time.. AAM ADMI PARTY (AAP). It is a breath of fresh air in this rotten system. I am recommending this party because If I do not support this movement this time, may be it might come to an end and I will have to wait for another 25-30 years for some changes to happen in my country. The political class will presume whatever they have done in past 60 years was good and we deserve no better. I do not want to say it to my children that your country is just like that.. we can not change it.

This Delhi Election might be the starting point and example for a national movement. I am not happy with the present political class/ political system. My country could have also been a developed and powerful nation had politicians not misused it. I am a common man and want to see power of a common man If they win, it will not be a victory of any leader.. but of us directly I can see the truth behind Sting Operations carried on AAP.

If We do not consider this as our responsibility, who else will?

It (AAP) has to be different for being in business.

Those who dared us to come through political channel for our voices to be heard by them, need to be taught a lesson.

I have not forgotten “Nirbhya” gang rape and the treatment our government gave to us during protests.

I have to do this as an experiment for my children’s future.

We now need to act. Me alone can not bring this change… We all have to be a part of it. I am not a politician, leader or supporter of any political party. But I have a Dream for this country. The dream to be a superpower some day.. To have a system where fairness is guaranteed to society.. A city, I can be proud of as a resident. If I am able to get 10 votes from this letter. I would be contended that I have contributed in this process of change. If you are convinced after reading this mail, I hope you will not stop yourself by Just voting for AAP but also try to convince people around you and also forward this letter to your colleagues/friends/ relatives and acquaintances..

Your contribution will not go in waste... I have a firm belief of it.

    Jai Hind...

    A proud Indian

Yes I RECOMMEND STRONGLY.. TO VOTE FOR THIS NEW POLITICAL PARTY...It’s the final lap for the biggest political battle in India’s recent history. Just a few days left-final chance to ensure clean politics & accountable governance. If not now, When? If not you, Who will stand up to clean the system? Will you come out on the streets of Delhi?

Time to Flood the Streets of Delhi with AAP Topis & Jhaadu

AAP launches the biggest volunteer campaigning program (BUZZ) to flood the streets of Delhi with AAP supporters, who would proudly wear their Topis and spread the message of AAP in groups of 2 to 4 at selected 47 locations.

    ITS NOW or NEVER !

Here is what you can do.

    1.  Come to the metro location closest to you from the selected metro locations (See below for the table indicating the Metro Stations which are the AAP Buzz metro points). At this location you will be met by an AAP volunteer, provided campaign materials, attached to a small group and sent to one of the selected 47 buzz locations in that area to spread the message of AAP.
