Open Letter to Kiran Bedi

Dear Ma'am,
Congratulations for finally landing into the muddy waters of Politics. While what you have been cursing throughout your life and probably have been a victim of when you were not made the Commissioner of Delhi, it must be a pretty good feeling I am sure. Your decision of joining BJP doesn't really spring a surprise to me though. It was very much expected from the day you started ranting against your friend-turned-foe Kejriwal.
Ma'am, I have grown up listening to the stories of your courage and honesty from my parents. They told me that you fined Indira Gandhi's car when she was a PM back then. They told me that you came to be known as "Crane Bedi" when you started a campaign against the cars parked in No Parking. However, little did I know that you had courage to eat your own words. Never did I thought that you would yourself park your car at a place where you warned people not to park your car at. And where "BJP". As your big time fans right from the Aap ki Adaalat to Anna Hazare movement, we surely deserve a chance to know the story of your Hriday-Parivartan. Or was the bait of CM of Delhi too irresistible for you to even ponder upon what you had been preaching throughout your life. Or probably you were never apolitical. Probably you were only anti-Congress and you named it as anti-politics throughout.
But now when you have joined BJP, I would request you to please answer the following questions :
1. Did BJP accept to be under the purview of RTI -one of your demands last year?
2. Did BJP agree on JanLokpal?
3. Will you be happy working with Yeddyurappa and other ministers in the party with corruption charges?
4. If you had to join politics, why not join AAP. Was your ego more important than the country?
5. Did Modi suddenly come clean on riots of what you have been blaming him for?
6. Are you the same person who was seen hoisting the flag of India when Annaji was on fast against corruption?
Ma'am, when you were targeted for the embezzlement of funds in your NGO when you while being a part of the Corruption crusade, the whole of nation stood by you because you were the hope back then. But then you choose to go and become the part of despair yourself.
With a very heavy heart, I wish you all the best for your political journey. I still have hope that you would not dare opposing your own party on their wrongdoings, if they happen.
And yes, thanks to you that I am now even more determined to vote for Kejriwal.- A Common Man
Mam Ms Bedi , I further speak in continuation of valid questions that have been asked by Sandeep in his blog above, all this while ( at least some weeks ago ) the social media was abuzz that you will contest elections under the BJP banner and lead as their CM candidate as part of a BJP master strategy but I believed that you are truly apolitical and you won’t , that you will keep your words because you truly mean what you say and in particular as you advise others ( as you advised Kejriwal on conclusion of Anna movement in Delhi , ) that you have no Rajniti Ka Swarth . I felt that you were merely swayed by the mirage on display , as Growth, Development , Swatch Bharat etc that has swayed most , but that you will let the fight against Aswaschta in politics go on and not try and go against the war based on ideals in Politics , but it was a great surprise to me that you chose to go with this move .You and your party kept this a top secret till 48 hours ago , now that seems like the first gift of surprise in transparency to the people of this city from you , true to your newly learnt style of politics , a taste of things to come even before elections , a flavor of your own Acche din like your tallest leaders , now only God can forecast what may happen after elections if Almighty does allow you to win against the prayers of many of us . Perhaps you will remove some more dangerous masks in the future , and reveal about your newly acquired style of politics even more.
ReplyDeleteHere is how most of us feel in the city about you and this ploy , that you are ill advised , that you are being used like a sophisticated weapon in a war ( perhaps once again- like at Jantar Mantar by RSS and likes to defeat Janlokpal when you broke up with your own honest friends , and you did this cleverly taking shelter of a tall figure Anna who was genuinely confused between interest of RSS and that of India , by your claim of No Politics ) but even without any knowledge of astrology, I can forecast the events to come , that you will one day sooner than later be discarded by your own army for a more modern sophisticated weapon as the war ends and you will be resigned to a Governors house in some far out state may be from the Place where your progeny acquired an MBBS seat but with a mask off . You may hurt your own favorite enemy , your party's only enemy Kejriwal to some extent in this war but the fight will GO ON , most likely I predict as an Aam Aadmi that you will be defeated because you don't stand on the side of truth this time , or transparency and clean politics in India any more , you have been put in the front of an army to lead it which seems stronger but only by way of unclean money , dishonest means , encouraged and nourished by cronies , a fraudulent media where ends matter and not the means , helping bad politics matters at any cost and not the people , advertising revenues matter and not future generations of Delhi or India . You have been brainwashed into thinking you are leading a battle with soldiers and officers who are clean ,truthful , idealistic and as honest as your opponents , sadly they are not, perhaps you have no ideals left to judge perfectly any more , the compass is lost or left behind at Jantar Mantra , or maybe you like a fool believe in your herculean powers so much , as to be foolish to think that you can clean up your own army, your bosses , as you cleaned up Tihar Jail to some extent , my guess is that you will fail very badly and soon .
